Welcome to Just Breathe Pilates...

Have you ever heard of Pilates? "Contrology" is what Joseph originally named what we now refer to today as "Pilates." Pilates is a form of exercise that taps into the brain and breath while making all physical movement happen with ease and intention. With this philosophy the body utilizes the core, allowing the body to relax and use the "Powerhouse" to flush the body of unwanted toxins and restore life throughout the body. The journey to finding flexibility heaven is moving with freedom and fluidity. As humans we are always dealing with gravity as well as our natural body patterns.
    Everyday we move but do we utilize our entire body? ...well if the answer is "no" you may have noticed that overtime the body has developed some painful imbalances. Pilates is a non-weight bearing exercise that takes gravity out of the equation and allows the powerhouse or core to create an "engine" effect.
    Do you feel trapped in your own body? ...Pilates continues to prove time and time again to be one of the best solutions for rehabbing anyone from athletes to sedentary seniors.  Pilates had a vision and today his ideas have grown into an amazing practice that the medical world is taking a hold of. Bringing awareness to your everyday movements is making dramatic changes in people’s lives all over the world. Pilates gives mobility and physical control back into what some people may have called a tight, achy, old, over-weight, pain filled body.   Pilates is a way of life, it is a lifestyle change within you, Just Breathe Pilates. . .
